If you don’t know what lagree is, it’s literally pilates on crack. After doing regular pilates for over a year, I was not ready for what lagree had in store.
Lagree vs. Pilates
While pilates is focused on the pillars of breathing, concentration, control, centering, flow, postural alignment, and precision, lagree is focused on effective form, range of motion, tempo, duration, tension, transition, and plane of motion. In short, it is a high-intensity version of pilates performed on a Megaformer rather than a Reformer machine.
Both of the studios I’ve done lagree at are amazing. I started at Pilates Plus in Malibu. The ocean-view is such a selling point but it’s a little bit too far from me. Motivate Studios was perfect for me because the instructors and community are amazing and it’s closer.
If you want rock solid abs and a lean but toned body, I would 100% recommend lagree. It completely changed my body by targeting the smallest muscles that I didn’t even know existed. I finally discovered the perfect workout to achieve the slim and toned body of my dreams. Go try lagree!!! But just make sure to block off the next 2-3 days in your calendar because the soreness after the first time is no joke!
