When school’s out, of course we’ll be spending our summers at the beach! Here is your essential guide that will ensure you get the best out of every beach day.

1. Prep
Prepping for a beach day is definitely very important. Firstly, make sure you aren’t forgetting the main essentials: sunscreen and a speaker. All else will be okay if you have these two things. I love the Elta MD brand for my face, and any natural brand from Whole Foods works for my body! Make sure your speaker is waterproof to prevent any mishaps!
2. Tan
Now, one of our goals is of course to get tan. I’ve found that 15-minute increments for each side while tanning provides the best results and ensures that there won’t be any burning going on. Make sure to reapply sunscreen at least every hour!
3. Vibes
We’re talking making playlists in advance, getting your fruit and snacks ready, and bringing your camera to snap the perfect shot. Having the perfect beach day takes more work than we might anticipate. Make sure to choose your drink of choice in advance and stock up!
4. Sustenance
On top of drinking lots of water because of the heat that your body is enduring while you’re at the beach, make sure that you feed your body nutritious food that will make you feel good. I love getting bowls that consist of protein, carbs, and fat to make sure my body is getting the balance that it needs!
5. Recovery
This is all about tons of hydration, aloe vera, and rest! After an eventful beach day of movement and fun, make sure your body gets what it needs. Think balance!
